Some key rebounds by Ryan Thomson(2nd year, Oakville, ON) on the defensive end and free throw shooting from Thomson and Venzal Russell (3rd year, Detroit MI) helped ice the comeback.

"Tonight everyone learned that we cannot be counted out of any game if we remain focused when opponents make big plays to attempt to stymie our momentum. We also learned what we are capable of doing defensively to strong teams if we put forth the maximum effort and communication. Laurier won the split this weekend but we are in much better shape right now than what things looked to be heading for around 930pm tonight."
