Back Court Club Membership Drive

The Back Court Club begins its 4th season as the official off-campus support group of the Lakehead Men's Basketball team.  The Club's main purpose is to raise funds and community support to help the team in its quest for a national championship.
The Club's fundraising activities include the annual Membership Drive which solicits Lakehead Basketball supporters to contribute a minimum, charitable donation which is utilized by the team for any number of major needs such as recruiting, non-conference travel and work-study programs.
Membership is open to individuals (minimum $100 donation) as well as corporations/businesses (minimum $250 sponsorship).

Membership has its privileges and they include (in addition to a direct association with the team):
* invite and two complimentary tickets to "Back Court Appreciation" games (Nov 17th & Feb 26th)
* monthly email updates on the team and future events from Coach Morrison
* invite to each Back Court Club post game social held at a local establishment
* full 100% charitable receipt for all individual membership donation

'Wolves Announce Late Addition to Home Schedule

The Lakehead Thunderwolves have added the Winnipeg Wesmen for a two game series to be played in the Thunderdome on Thursday and Friday October 4th and 5th.  Tip-off for both games will be 7:00PM.

4th Annual "PEI Lobster" Dinner

The Back Court Club will again be presenting the 4th Annual PEI Lobster Dinner in support of Lakehead Men's Basketball.
This year's event will be held at the Italian Cultural Centre on October 13th.
Per usual a silent auction and cash bar begin at 5:00pm with dinner commencing around 5:30pm.
An addition to the menu this year includes PEI Mussels served prior to the main course.
Tickets are $75 per person.

The team is looking forward to again serving the dinner and meeting our many great supporters.
This year's event is already the largest to date and still more space is available.

Blaze Name Erdman Technical Director

The Thunder Bay Blaze Basketball Club has named Lakehead assistant coach Matt Erdman it's Technical Director. The Blaze and Lakehead Basketball have been working together in a partnership to grow and develop basketball amongst young males in the local community.  Each Blaze on court session is assisted by a Thunderwolf varsity player.
